Seven-Figure Damages for Woman Injured in Head-On Collision

A mother has won a seven-figure sum in compensation after she was injured in a road accident that left her with life-changing injuries.

The 48-year-old woman had driven out to get some milk when her car was hit head-on by the vehicle of a man who had suffered a heart attack. The 76-year-old driver of the other car, Ernest Bransgrove, had lost consciousness and died at the scene of the accident. The woman was treated for 45 minutes by paramedics before being airlifted to hospital.

As a result of the car crash, the woman has lost the use of the left side of her body and is dependent on a wheelchair. She also has problems with her speech and vision.

A claim was brought against Mr Bransgrove’s insurance company, which accepted liability for the accident and agreed to settle the case out of court. The exact amount of compensation was not disclosed but it will be sufficient to pay for the woman’s considerable needs, which include 24-hour care.

Nothing can adequately compensate for the loss of one’s health and normal way of life. However, a financial settlement can help the victim of an accident and their family to adjust to the changes in circumstances and relieve them from financial hardship.
